Privacy

OffLadder is a personal coach for figuring out what you could do with your life. To do that it has to remember things about you. This page explains exactly what that means. The service is run by The AIGency LLC, trading as OffLadder, and The AIGency LLC is the data controller for the personal data described here.

Who can use it

OffLadder is for ages 13 and up. We ask for an age range at the start of onboarding. If someone selects Under 13, we stop the experience there and no personalised guidance is generated. If we find an account belongs to someone under 13, we close it and delete the data.

What we store

Your email address and sign-in details.
Your onboarding answers, age range, the worlds that interest you, and what you tell us about yourself.
Your conversations with your coach, including links you paste and files or notes you choose to share.
What the product has generated for you: directions, things to try, and what you said happened afterwards.

What we use it for, and on what basis

One thing: personalising your coaching. Your conversations and onboarding answers are used so your coach remembers you, and so the ideas and experiments you see actually relate to you. We rely on performance of our contract with you to run your account and deliver the coaching; on our legitimate interests to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and improve the product; on your consent for optional email; and on legal obligations where the law requires us to keep records. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Who helps us run it

We share data with these categories of recipients, for these purposes only:

Accounts, sign-in and the database that stores your data.
Hosting and the platform the product runs on.
AI model providers, they process your messages to generate your coach's replies.
A web-reading service, used to fetch and summarise pages and links relevant to you.
An email provider, used to send the weekly note if you have it switched on.
Stripe, Inc., for processing membership payments, subscriptions, invoicing and tax calculation. Stripe collects your billing details directly at checkout; we never see your card number.
Professional advisers such as legal and accounting, and authorities where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data and conversations for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account we remove it, and anything attached to it, within 30 days. If you stop using OffLadder without asking, we delete inactive accounts after 24 months. Records we must keep for tax or accounting reasons are held for as long as the law requires, then deleted or anonymised.

Your control and your rights

Export: you can download everything we hold about you as a file from Settings.
Delete: you can clear your conversations from Settings, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it.
Correct: you can edit your name, what your coach believes about you, and remove individual memories.
Email: the weekly note can be switched off at any time in Settings.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your data, to receive a portable copy, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to us and we'll respond within one month.

Where your data is handled

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure, and simple usage measurement to understand which pages help people. We don't use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though sign-in won't work without the essential ones.

Keeping it safe

Your data is protected behind your account and row-level database rules, so other users can't read it, with encryption in transit and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, if something goes wrong we'll tell affected people.

Getting in touch

For account deletion, a copy of your data, or any privacy question, email privacy@offladder.com, or write to The AIGency LLC at that address. If you're a parent or guardian and want your child's account removed, write to the same address and we'll take care of it.
