The film

Your experience may be closer to the job than your CV shows.

Many applications are screened for the post's own words before anyone reads them. Here's what changes when the CV says what you did in the language of the job.

How it works

Four steps, all in the panel beside the post.

  1. Open a job post

On LinkedIn, Indeed, a company's careers page or anywhere else. Open the panel and it reads the post you're on.

  2. See what it asks for

The must-haves from the post, and which ones your CV already shows. Plus checks on whether the job looks live.

  3. Shape your CV for it

Your own experience, reworded in the post's language. See every line that changed, then download the PDF.

  4. Work on what's missing

Anything your CV doesn't show yet goes to Laddie, so you can learn it, try it and practise talking about it.

Truth Guard

It never adds what you haven't done.

Every changed line is checked against the CV you gave it. If a claim isn't there, the line goes back to how you wrote it.

Kept

Built SQL models and dashboards for pricing and churn.

Put back

Led forecasting for a 40-person team. Built models and reports for pricing.

When the post asks for something your CV doesn't mention, the panel asks you first. Answer in your own words, or skip it.

Then, with Laddie

What's missing becomes your next step.

Laddie is OffLadder's AI coach. When the panel hands over a job, Laddie already knows the role and the gaps, and starts there.

  1. Learn the skill

A short lesson on the thing the post asks for, starting from the basics.

  2. Try the work

A 15-minute task from the job itself, so you have something to talk about.

  3. Practise the interview

A five-question mock interview for that role, weighted to the parts you're least sure of.

Also in the panel

Everything else the application asks for.

  • Worth applying? Checks for reposts and whether the post is on the company's own site, so your effort goes to jobs that look live.
  • Cover letter and screening answers. Written from your CV, for this post.

Privacy

Questions, answered.

Is it free?

Yes. Make a free OffLadder account and you get 10 tailorings a week. Members tailor as often as they like.

Will it make things up?

No. Every change is checked against your original CV, and anything it can't find there is put back the way you wrote it. When the post asks for something your CV doesn't mention, it asks you, and you answer in your own words or skip it.

Does it give me a match score?

No. It lists the post's must-haves and shows which ones your CV mentions. You decide what that's worth.

Which sites does it work on?

LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and the job pages companies run on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday. For anything else, paste the job text into the panel.

Do I need an OffLadder account?

Yes, a free one. It keeps your tailorings and your list of jobs with you on any computer, and it's how the panel hands a job over to Laddie.

Where does my CV go?

Your CV is saved in your browser, not in your account. When you tailor, the CV and the job text go through our server to an AI provider, which writes the new version and sends it back. We don't save either to your account, and you can delete your CV from the panel at any time.

Does it work on my phone?

Not yet. Chrome extensions only run on a computer, so save the link and add it from there.

Add the extension, open a job post you're thinking about, and look at it side by side with your CV.
